Exhibition by Retired Firefighter Named Irish Street Photographer of the Year.

Palmerstown local and retired Dublin firefighter Greg Matthews is having his first exhibition of street photography in Filmbase, Curved street Temple Bar.  Matthews, who started taking photographs five years ago, spends hours combing the streets for arresting images:  \”Although it\’s a hobby,  I\’m totally passionate about it.  I spend so much time taking photos, and I just love to take photos of people, especially as they go about their daily lives throughout Dublin.  For me, it\’s just all about capturing the moment.\”  Matthews was recently named Irish Street Photographer of the Year, and his exhibition at Filmbase runs until June 8th.  Photographs by Greg Matthews.
