Emergency Services Join Forces Forces In Aid of Temple Street
Members from the Irish Defence Forces, An Garda Síochána, Civil Defence, Dublin Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service will join forces in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital on Saturday 20 May.
All of the emergency services will have their equipment on display and a section of Temple Street will be closed off to facilitate this event, which is open to the public.
During this event you will be able to meet MOWAG (family of armoured vehicles designed by a Swiss company) soldiers and examine their guns, see a real life fire tender and examine command and control vehicles and armed support, dog and air support units.
Members of the public can also learn about motorbikes and ambulances and response jeeps used by the Ambulance Service and command vehicles and drone equipment used by the Civil Defence.
There will be an on-street collection in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital on the day.
There are also plans for a representative from each service to visit those children in the hospital who are too unwell and unable to come out and meet them on the street.
